Blockchain in state administration: Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and BitFury sign new agreement
Today, June 8, the Government of Ukraine and BitFury signed a memorandum on cooperation. Collaboration is planned within the new project: the implementation of blockchain in one of government institutions.
The document was signed by Alexey Vyskodub (deputy head of Ukraine’s State Agency for E-Government), George Givishvili (CCO at BitFury), and Viktor Vishnev (CEO at SETAM to be a project platform).
SETAM focuses on selling property confiscated from citizens using the electronic auction system, putting up various lots, from property to clothes. Policymakers have designed and adopted the project, according to which blockchain will be integrated in SETAM standard registers and selling system.
Cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and BitFury, a global leader in blockchain technology development, started several months ago. In April, the company formalized a partnership with policymakers. BitFury is suggested to provide Ukrainian state administration systems with a wide range of blockchain-based solutions. Implementing such technologies, Ukraine is aiming to join the number of European innovators along with Sweden and Denmark.
