Pay the bill with cryptocurrency: you can pay for dinner with Bitcoin in Kyiv
Since November 30 2017, visitors of the PESTO CAFÉ restaurant chain and Mister Twister establishments can pay for their orders with cryptocurrency. Waiters will take Dash, Bitcoin, Waves and Litecoin. Prior to this, this option was available at Givi Rubinstein and Pastateca.
To pay the bill with cryptocurrency, you have to tell the waiter or the cashier the type of currency you want to pay with. Only in this case, the staff will be able to create a special QR-code for you. The amount in the bill is automatically converted at the current cryptocurrency rate. A bonus for customers - the commission is paid by the establishment not the visitor.
In terms of legal validity, the transaction looks like this:
- The restaurant offers a visitor to pay for the order with a gift certificate;
- The check with the code has information about the visitor accepting public offer contract and exchanging personal digital funds for the certificate.
The third party of this transaction is the Cryptogroup company, which made an agreement with the establishments to sell certificates to customers, accept cryptocurrencies and pay the restaurants for their services.
